Glass Knowledge
Annealed Glass
Annealed glass typically breaks into large pieces. It is a cost-efficient glass for use in cabinets, furniture, picture frames, windows, and more, where high strength is not critical, and safety glass is not required.
Tempered Glass
Tempered glass is a stronger safety glass. When it breaks, it shatters into many tiny pieces. We install it in shower enclosures, doors, windows, for shelving, auto glass, and more.
Laminated Glass
Laminated glass is made by bonding multiple layers of glass together with a strong interlayer. When the glass breaks, it does not fall out. It typically remains in place. An automotive windshield is a prime example of laminated glass.
